How To Get Wyrdeer In Legends Arceus Complete Evolution Guide

Pokémon Legends: Arceus introduces several new evolutions for classic Pokémon, including Wyrdeer, a majestic Normal and Psychic-type Pokémon that evolves from Stantler. While players receive a rideable Wyrdeer early in the story to navigate the Hisui region, adding one to your official Pokédex requires evolving a Stantler yourself. Understanding the specific move requirements and battle mechanics is the key to successfully unlocking this regional evolution.

Locating and Catching Stantler in Hisui

Before you can obtain Wyrdeer, you must first catch a wild Stantler in the Hisui region. Stantler can be found relatively early in the game within the Obsidian Fieldlands, specifically around Deertrack Heights. They are also present in other regions such as the Cobalt Coastlands and Coronet Highlands.

When approaching Stantler in the wild, remain quiet and use tall grass for cover to prevent them from fleeing. Throwing a Feather Ball or Heavy Ball from behind increases your chances of a successful catch without initiating a long battle. Once captured, add Stantler to your active party so you can begin training it for evolution.

Mastering the Move Psyshield Bash

Evolving Stantler into Wyrdeer requires the use of its signature move, Psyshield Bash. Stantler naturally learns Psyshield Bash upon reaching Level 21. However, simply knowing the move is not enough to trigger the evolution process.

Stantler must master Psyshield Bash to perform it in Agile Style during combat. Stantler usually masters the move automatically around Level 31 through standard leveling. Alternatively, you can hand over a Seed of Mastery to Zisu at the Jubilife Village Training Grounds to master the move instantly.

Executing the Agile Style Requirement

To fulfill the evolution criteria, Stantler must use Psyshield Bash in Agile Style a total of 20 times in battle. You can track your progress or simply continue using the move until the pokeball icon next to Stantler glows in your menu. Battle weaker wild Pokémon to conserve Power Points and speed up the process.

Using Agile Style consumes two move PP per attack, so keep extra Leppa Berries on hand to restore energy during farming sessions. Once you reach 20 successful uses in Agile Style, open your party menu to manually trigger the evolution into Wyrdeer.

Benefits of Adding Wyrdeer to Your Team

Wyrdeer boasts a strong combination of Normal and Psychic typing, providing helpful defensive coverage and solid offensive stats. Its signature move, Psyshield Bash, raises the user's defensive stats while dealing physical damage. Having a trained Wyrdeer on your roster significantly aids in challenging encounters throughout your Hisuian journey.
